# SpeakTimer vs Speaking Clock with Voice

SpeakTimer and Speaking Clock with Voice both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Speaking Clock with Voice's written reviews are positive against 54% of SpeakTimer's. Speaking Clock with Voice also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). SpeakTimer's advantage is ratings volume (218 vs 37) and iOS requirement (14.3 vs 16.0). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SpeakTimer sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Speaking Clock with Voice sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for SpeakTimer against 4.5 for Speaking Clock with Voice. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SpeakTimer has 218 ratings behind it against 37, so its average is the more settled of the two.
