# COBA Campus vs Smash Education

The clearest difference is rating: COBA Campus at 5.0 against Smash Education's 2.6. Smash Education's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months) and review sentiment (21% vs 2%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

COBA Campus holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Smash Education has 10 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 2% of COBA Campus's written reviews are positive against 21% of Smash Education's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

COBA Campus ships an update every 3 months, Smash Education every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
