# FastestVPN vs Folder Fort

The clearest difference is rating: Folder Fort at 4.0 against FastestVPN's 2.9. Folder Fort also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription). FastestVPN's advantage is ratings volume (458 vs 2). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FastestVPN sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Folder Fort sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Folder Fort holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FastestVPN has 458 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

FastestVPN ships an update every 6 weeks, Folder Fort monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
