# Shadow Computer vs PDF converter

The clearest difference is rating: Shadow Computer at 5.0 against PDF converter's 4.4. Shadow Computer also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.0). PDF converter's advantage is ratings volume (15 vs 1) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 4 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PDF converter sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Shadow Computer asks for nothing beyond the download.

Shadow Computer holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PDF converter has 15 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Shadow Computer ships an update every 4 months, PDF converter every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
