# Nightscout X vs 1UP Method

The clearest difference is update cadence: Nightscout X at every 2 weeks against 1UP Method's every 6 weeks. Nightscout X also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Nightscout X sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and 1UP Method sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $299.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Nightscout X ships an update every 2 weeks, 1UP Method every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
