# FayPD vs Chi.

The clearest difference is update cadence: Chi. at every 2 days against FayPD's every 3 months. FayPD's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 16.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

FayPD ships an update every 3 months, Chi. every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
