# Bedside Clock vs Top Clock

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Top Clock at none against Bedside Clock's 2. Bedside Clock's advantage is ratings volume (3.6K vs 149) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bedside Clock sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Top Clock asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Bedside Clock against 4.6 for Top Clock. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bedside Clock has 3.6K ratings behind it against 149, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 70% of Bedside Clock's written reviews are positive against 61% of Top Clock's.

Bedside Clock ships an update every 3 weeks, Top Clock every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
