# FC2Video Viewer vs PLAY'A

The clearest difference is rating: FC2Video Viewer at 4.1 against PLAY'A's 3.6. PLAY'A's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FC2Video Viewer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. PLAY'A asks for nothing beyond the download.

FC2Video Viewer holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PLAY'A has 53 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of FC2Video Viewer's written reviews are positive against 36% of PLAY'A's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FC2Video Viewer ships an update every 5 weeks, PLAY'A fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
