# Snap vs EZ

The clearest difference is rating: Snap at 4.6 against EZ's 2.8. Snap also leads on ratings volume (697 vs 5) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 4 months). EZ's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Snap holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Snap has 697 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 30% of Snap's written reviews are positive against 33% of EZ's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Snap ships an update every 2 months, EZ every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
