# Snap vs PRO

Snap and PRO both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of PRO's written reviews are positive against 30% of Snap's. PRO also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.5). Snap's advantage is ratings volume (697 vs 4) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 7 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

PRO holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Snap has 697 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 30% of Snap's written reviews are positive against 100% of PRO's.

Snap ships an update every 2 months, PRO every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
