# Snap vs ROO.AI

The clearest difference is review sentiment: ROO.AI at 100% against Snap's 30%. ROO.AI also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Snap's advantage is ratings volume (762 vs 7) and rating (4.7 vs 4.4). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Snap holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Snap has 762 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 30% of Snap's written reviews are positive against 100% of ROO.AI's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Snap ships an update every 2 months, ROO.AI monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
