# Snap vs Tekmetric Mobile

The clearest difference is rating: Snap at 4.7 against Tekmetric Mobile's 2.7. Snap also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (768 vs 60). Tekmetric Mobile's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Snap holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Snap has 768 ratings behind it against 60, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 30% and 29% positive.

Snap ships an update every 2 months, Tekmetric Mobile weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
