# Snap vs Autolink TEC

The clearest difference is update cadence: Autolink TEC at every 3 days against Snap's every 2 months. Autolink TEC also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Snap's advantage is ratings volume (697 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Autolink TEC holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Snap has 697 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Snap ships an update every 2 months, Autolink TEC every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
