# Arclight vs Motive Fleet

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Motive Fleet at 1.7K against Arclight's 10. Motive Fleet also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). Arclight's advantage is monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and iOS requirement (12.1 vs 16.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Arclight against 4.7 for Motive Fleet. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Motive Fleet has 1.7K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Arclight ships an update every 2 months, Motive Fleet every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
