# WatchGuard AuthPoint vs Persona Connect+

The clearest difference is rating: Persona Connect+ at 5.0 against WatchGuard AuthPoint's 4.3. WatchGuard AuthPoint's advantage is ratings volume (44 vs 2) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 6 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Persona Connect+ holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WatchGuard AuthPoint has 44 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 53% of WatchGuard AuthPoint's written reviews are positive against 50% of Persona Connect+'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

WatchGuard AuthPoint ships an update every 3 months, Persona Connect+ every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
