# Progate vs Hirame

The clearest difference is update cadence: Hirame at daily against Progate's every 3 weeks. Progate's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Progate sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and Hirame sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Progate ships an update every 3 weeks, Hirame daily. Both last shipped on October 18, 2026.
