# UMM vs QR Code Super Scanner

The clearest difference is review sentiment: QR Code Super Scanner at 100% against UMM's 50%. UMM's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 3.7) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

UMM holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 21 and 6 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of UMM's written reviews are positive against 100% of QR Code Super Scanner's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UMM ships an update every 9 months, QR Code Super Scanner every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on September 17, 2026 and September 10, 2026 respectively.
