# UMM vs PH

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: UMM at none against PH's 10. UMM also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16). PH's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 9 months) and ratings volume (1.1K vs 24). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PH sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. UMM asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for UMM against 4.6 for PH. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PH has 1.1K ratings behind it against 24, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 50% of UMM's written reviews are positive against 54% of PH's.

UMM ships an update every 9 months, PH fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
