# UnionID vs EXTRA SAFE

The clearest difference is rating: UnionID at 5.0 against EXTRA SAFE's 4.4. UnionID also leads on iOS requirement (13.4 vs 15.0). EXTRA SAFE's advantage is ratings volume (100 vs 1) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

UnionID holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: EXTRA SAFE has 100 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

UnionID ships an update every 2 months, EXTRA SAFE fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
