# Leaf vs Alien VPN

The clearest difference is rating: Leaf at 5.0 against Alien VPN's 4.4. Leaf also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 11) and ads (none vs shown). Alien VPN's advantage is ratings volume (44 vs 1). On price, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Alien VPN sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Leaf asks for nothing beyond the download.

Leaf holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Alien VPN has 44 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Leaf ships an update fortnightly, Alien VPN every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 14, 2026.
