# Escape vs The Conjuring

The clearest difference is review sentiment: The Conjuring at 100% against Escape's 50%. Escape's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.2) and update cadence (every 11 months vs every 24 months). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Escape sells 7 one-off in-app purchases and The Conjuring sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Escape holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 4 and 11 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Escape's written reviews are positive against 100% of The Conjuring's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Escape ships an update every 11 months, The Conjuring every 24 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
