# Euro Train Sim 2 vs Subway Train Simulator

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Subway Train Simulator at 85% against Euro Train Sim 2's 56%. Subway Train Simulator also leads on update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months). Euro Train Sim 2's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (1.6K vs 244). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Euro Train Sim 2 sells 11 one-off in-app purchases and Subway Train Simulator sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Euro Train Sim 2 holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Euro Train Sim 2 has 1.6K ratings behind it against 244, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 56% of Euro Train Sim 2's written reviews are positive against 85% of Subway Train Simulator's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Euro Train Sim 2 ships an update every 3 months, Subway Train Simulator every 5 weeks. Both last shipped on October 19, 2026.
