# ApowerREC vs Screen Recorder

The clearest difference is update cadence: ApowerREC at every 3 weeks against Screen Recorder's every 4 months. Screen Recorder's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 33%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ApowerREC sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and Screen Recorder sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ApowerREC ships an update every 3 weeks, Screen Recorder every 4 months. Both last shipped on October 21, 2026.
