# Privi vs Presence Messenger

The clearest difference is rating: Presence Messenger at 5.0 against Privi's 4.4. Presence Messenger also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs monthly). Privi's advantage is ratings volume (7 vs 1) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Privi sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Presence Messenger sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Presence Messenger holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Privi has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Privi ships an update monthly, Presence Messenger every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
