# Western Liar's Dice vs 3

Western Liar's Dice and 3 both sit at 3.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 63% of Western Liar's Dice's written reviews are positive against 19% of 3's. Western Liar's Dice also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 12) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 5 weeks). 3's advantage is ratings volume (495 vs 8). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 3 sells 12 one-off in-app purchases. Western Liar's Dice asks for nothing beyond the download.

3 holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 3 has 495 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of Western Liar's Dice's written reviews are positive against 19% of 3's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Western Liar's Dice ships an update every 10 days, 3 every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
