# EasyEditText vs Renew

The clearest difference is rating: Renew at 5.0 against EasyEditText's 4.4. Renew also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 4 months) and review sentiment (100% vs 79%). EasyEditText's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (61 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. EasyEditText sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Renew sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Renew holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: EasyEditText has 61 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 79% of EasyEditText's written reviews are positive against 100% of Renew's.

EasyEditText ships an update every 4 months, Renew every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
