# EasyEditText vs Plotamus

The clearest difference is ads: EasyEditText at none against Plotamus's shown. Plotamus's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 4 months) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. EasyEditText sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Plotamus sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

EasyEditText ships an update every 4 months, Plotamus every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
