# MaxiAP vs CTEK App

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: CTEK App at none against MaxiAP's 10. CTEK App also leads on rating (2.7 vs 2.2). MaxiAP's advantage is ratings volume (167 vs 3) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.6). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MaxiAP sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. CTEK App asks for nothing beyond the download.

CTEK App holds the better App Store score, 2.7 against 2.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MaxiAP has 167 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 16% of MaxiAP's written reviews are positive against 12% of CTEK App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MaxiAP ships an update every 6 weeks, CTEK App monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
