# yap! vs KBstar

The clearest difference is update cadence: KBstar at every 3 weeks against yap!'s every 2 months. yap!'s advantage is iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

yap! ships an update every 2 months, KBstar every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
