# Home Design Makeover vs Makeover Dream

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Home Design Makeover at 131K against Makeover Dream's 5.5K. Home Design Makeover also leads on chart position (#147 vs unranked). Makeover Dream's advantage is review sentiment (39% vs 28%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Home Design Makeover sells 8 one-off in-app purchases and Makeover Dream sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Home Design Makeover against 4.6 for Makeover Dream. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Home Design Makeover has 131K ratings behind it against 5.5K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 28% of Home Design Makeover's written reviews are positive against 39% of Makeover Dream's.

Home Design Makeover ships an update every 2 weeks, Makeover Dream fortnightly. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
