# Shawarmer vs Unipal

The clearest difference is monetization model: Unipal at free against Shawarmer's free with in-app purchases. Unipal also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.4). Shawarmer's advantage is ratings volume (11K vs 76) and update cadence (every 8 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Unipal holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Shawarmer has 11K ratings behind it against 76, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of Shawarmer's written reviews are positive against 34% of Unipal's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Shawarmer ships an update every 8 days, Unipal every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
