# HiLook vs xZoom Cam

The clearest difference is review sentiment: xZoom Cam at 75% against HiLook's 36%. xZoom Cam also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 4 months) and device support (4 vs 2). HiLook's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and rating (4.7 vs 4.4). On price, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. xZoom Cam sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. HiLook asks for nothing beyond the download.

HiLook holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HiLook has 23K ratings behind it against 578, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 36% of HiLook's written reviews are positive against 75% of xZoom Cam's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

HiLook ships an update every 4 months, xZoom Cam fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 8, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
