# Hearing Remote vs HearWell App

Hearing Remote and HearWell App both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of HearWell App's written reviews are positive against 23% of Hearing Remote's. HearWell App also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months). Hearing Remote's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (5.1K vs 4). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for Hearing Remote against 4.5 for HearWell App. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hearing Remote has 5.1K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.
