# CatGenie vs PetSnowy

The clearest difference is rating: PetSnowy at 3.0 against CatGenie's 2.4. CatGenie's advantage is ratings volume (99 vs 5) and iOS requirement (13.4 vs 15.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

PetSnowy holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 2.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CatGenie has 99 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 18% of CatGenie's written reviews are positive against 13% of PetSnowy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

CatGenie ships an update every 5 weeks, PetSnowy monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
