# SBTN go vs GetBarricade

The clearest difference is monetization model: GetBarricade at free with in-app purchases against SBTN go's subscription. GetBarricade also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 4 months) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). SBTN go's advantage is ratings volume (111 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SBTN go sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and GetBarricade sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

GetBarricade holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SBTN go has 111 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SBTN go ships an update every 4 months, GetBarricade every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
