# Launch Bay vs Bitdefender VPN

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Launch Bay at none against Bitdefender VPN's 3. Launch Bay also leads on review sentiment (82% vs 49%) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 13.0). Bitdefender VPN's advantage is ratings volume (14K vs 21) and rating (4.8 vs 4.6). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bitdefender VPN sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Launch Bay asks for nothing beyond the download.

Bitdefender VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bitdefender VPN has 14K ratings behind it against 21, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 82% of Launch Bay's written reviews are positive against 49% of Bitdefender VPN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Launch Bay ships an update every 4 weeks, Bitdefender VPN every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
