# TDMAX vs CATV

The clearest difference is rating: CATV at 5.0 against TDMAX's 4.0. CATV also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 5) and ads (none vs shown). TDMAX's advantage is ratings volume (1.6K vs 1). On price, update cadence and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TDMAX sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. CATV asks for nothing beyond the download.

CATV holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TDMAX has 1.6K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

TDMAX ships an update fortnightly, CATV every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
