# Forms vs Fontismo

The clearest difference is rating: Fontismo at 4.2 against Forms's 3.5. Fontismo also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.0). Forms's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 9 months). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Forms sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $5.49 per month and Fontismo sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Fontismo holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 4 and 5 respectively. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Forms ships an update fortnightly, Fontismo every 9 months. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
