# Forms vs Timed Tasks

The clearest difference is rating: Timed Tasks at 5.0 against Forms's 3.5. Timed Tasks also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Forms's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (4 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Forms sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $5.49 per month and Timed Tasks sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Forms ships an update fortnightly, Timed Tasks every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
