# Crestools vs EHT Companion

The clearest difference is ads: Crestools at none against EHT Companion's shown. EHT Companion's advantage is update cadence (every 11 days vs every 4 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Crestools sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per year and EHT Companion sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Crestools ships an update every 4 months, EHT Companion every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
