# Waymo vs Voyaj App

The clearest difference is rating: Waymo at 5.0 against Voyaj App's 4.6. Waymo also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (264K vs 10). Voyaj App's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and review sentiment (100% vs 83%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Waymo holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Waymo has 264K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of Waymo's written reviews are positive against 100% of Voyaj App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Waymo ships an update fortnightly, Voyaj App every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
