# Waymo vs ParkZilla

The clearest difference is monetization model: ParkZilla at free against Waymo's free with in-app purchases. ParkZilla also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 83%). Waymo's advantage is ratings volume (259K vs 5) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Waymo against 5.0 for ParkZilla. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Waymo has 259K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 83% of Waymo's written reviews are positive against 100% of ParkZilla's.

Waymo ships an update fortnightly, ParkZilla every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
