# Waymo vs Casara

The clearest difference is monetization model: Casara at free against Waymo's free with in-app purchases. Casara also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs fortnightly). Waymo's advantage is ratings volume (269K vs 7) and chart position (#5 vs unranked). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Waymo against 5.0 for Casara. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Waymo has 269K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Waymo ships an update fortnightly, Casara every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
