# Totem vs sideeye

The clearest difference is update cadence: sideeye at every 2 weeks against Totem's every 2 months. Totem's advantage is ratings volume (18 vs 1). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Totem against 5.0 for sideeye. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Totem has 18 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Totem ships an update every 2 months, sideeye every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
