# Screen Recorder vs DuoShot

The clearest difference is rating: DuoShot at 5.0 against Screen Recorder's 4.5. DuoShot also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). Screen Recorder's advantage is ratings volume (112K vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Screen Recorder sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and DuoShot sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DuoShot holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Screen Recorder has 112K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Screen Recorder ships an update every 2 months, DuoShot every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
