# National CDL Mastery vs CDL Study

The clearest difference is update cadence: National CDL Mastery at every 9 days against CDL Study's every 4 months. National CDL Mastery also leads on iOS requirement (10.0 vs 13.0). CDL Study's advantage is ratings volume (2.1K vs 9) and rating (4.8 vs 4.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. National CDL Mastery sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and CDL Study sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CDL Study holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CDL Study has 2.1K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two.

National CDL Mastery ships an update every 9 days, CDL Study every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
