# EGNOS vs Navarea Warnings (Navtex)

The clearest difference is update cadence: Navarea Warnings (Navtex) at every 2 months against EGNOS's every 4 months. EGNOS's advantage is iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

EGNOS ships an update every 4 months, Navarea Warnings (Navtex) every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
