# Bright Notes vs Daystreak

The clearest difference is ads: Bright Notes at none against Daystreak's shown. Bright Notes also leads on ratings volume (51 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17). Daystreak's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and update cadence (weekly vs every 94 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bright Notes sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Daystreak sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Daystreak holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bright Notes has 51 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Bright Notes ships an update every 94 months, Daystreak weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
