# Ad vs TikShort

The clearest difference is rating: Ad at 5.0 against TikShort's 3.4. Ad also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 9) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.0). TikShort's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (8 vs 1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TikShort sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Ad asks for nothing beyond the download.

Ad holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TikShort has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Ad ships an update every 2 months, TikShort every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
