# ChatterBaby vs CYBEX

The clearest difference is rating: CYBEX at 4.5 against ChatterBaby's 3.9. CYBEX also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 9 months). ChatterBaby's advantage is review sentiment (41% vs 13%). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

CYBEX holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1.4K and 1.3K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 41% of ChatterBaby's written reviews are positive against 13% of CYBEX's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ChatterBaby ships an update every 9 months, CYBEX every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
